Martin Hayter Short CM (born March 26, 1950) is an actor, writer, and producer best known for his comedy work, particularly on the TV programs SCTV and Saturday Night Live. Short has created numbers of memorable characters all over a years, virtually all notably Jiminy Glick & Ed Grimley.

He was natural within Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Short was known as the Member of the Order of Canada in 1994.

Family
His father was Charles Short, an executive using Canada's big steel company, world health organization come to North America as a stowaway Catholic refugee from war-war-worn Northern Ireland at the age of Twenty-one. His mother, Olive, was concertmaster of the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra; she was the number 1 female concertmaster inside North America. His full cousin, Clare Short, is a member of the British Parliament. His older brother, Michael Short, is the comedy writer & a both-period Emmy winner.

He married American actress Nancy Dolman in 1980. It sleep in California, and Short occurs as U.S. naturalized citizen. It develop threesome youngsters.
